We are looking for a Senior Python Developer to join one of our teams - Vectorworks. 

YOUR DAILY CHALLENGES

• Design and develop full-stack services, REST APIs, and database architectures across different layers of the technology stack;
• Build and optimise scalable, high-performance systems for high-traffic applications using Python and cloud platforms;
• Work with AWS cloud services to architect and deploy cloud-native solutions;
• Design and optimise relational database schemas and queries for large datasets;
• Mentor and support other team members through code reviews, pair programming, and technical guidance;
• Participate in architectural discussions and technical decision-making for new features and system improvements;
• Stay current with emerging Python technologies, frameworks, and industry best practices;
• Collaborate in an Agile environment with product teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

OUR EXPECTATIONS

• At least 5 years of professional Python development experience;
• Strong expertise in object-oriented programming (OOP) and software design patterns;
• Proven experience designing and building REST APIs and full-stack services at scale;
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred; Azure, GCP, or other cloud providers also valued);
• Solid experience with relational databases, including schema design and query optimisation for large datasets;
• Experience with Python frameworks such as Django (preferred), Flask, or FastAPI;
• Experience with front-end frameworks such as React (preferred), Vue, or Angular;
• Ability to adapt quickly and lead technical initiatives as priorities evolve;
• Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).

CONSIDERED AS A PLUS

• Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems patterns;
• Knowledge of DevOps tools, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation (Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible);
• Familiarity with systems/network automation and monitoring tools;
• Strong mentoring and collaboration skills with the ability to guide junior developers.
